The Realme 9 series was supposed to launch this year, but the timing was moved back to next year due to a global chip shortage. The Realme 9 series will now be available in January 2022, with four versions including the Realme 9, 9i, 9 Pro, and 9 Max.

A Vietnamese magazine has now revealed critical characteristics for the Realme 9i, the series’ most affordable variant. The Snapdragon 680, one of the latest chips in the SD600 series built on the 6nm process, will power the Realme 9i, according to ThePixel.vn.
Its display will be an LCD panel with a 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The rear will have a 50MP main camera, but the rest of the configuration is unknown. The newspaper has also revealed renders of the Realme 9i, which show that it would be inspired by the flagship GT Neo 2.
The graphic depicts the Redmi 9i with a flat display, a punch-hole front camera, and a fingerprint sensor on the side. The main arrangement comprises of two huge lenses and a smaller lens to the side beneath an LED flash. The back panel appears to be made of matte plastic.
Keep in mind that Realme has not yet announced the launch date, so take this information with a grain of salt.
