Since the merger of OPPO and OnePlus, the brands’ research and development resources have been pooled to increase efficiency and improve user experience.

With the image advancements made possible by the OnePlus and Hasselblad alliance, OPPO is thrilled to expand the strategic partnership to include both the OPPO and OnePlus brands.

“Following the success of OnePlus and Hasselblad’s collaboration in the previous year, we are delighted to see the partnership enter a new stage of development, allowing more users around the world to experience the legendary Hasselblad mobile imaging experience,” said Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer.

“OPPO has always put a premium on camera colour performance, and it’s in Hasselblad’s DNA.” “We’re ecstatic to be able to collaborate on the future of Hasselblad Camera for Mobile,” he added.

OPPO’s major goal for bringing forth a next-generation premium smartphone experience is to build top-tier image technologies capable of offering a world-class mobile photographic experience.

Following the debut of OPPO’s first self-developed imaging NPU MariSilicon X, the company is working with Hasselblad to create a world-class photography experience.

Through R&D collaboration, OPPO and Hasselblad will now work together to further develop sophisticated imaging solutions, with the goal of providing users with more natural colours and a more refined image experience.

OPPO uses Hasselblad’s Natural Color Calibration to achieve the most natural skin tone possible in its portrait photos.

Beginning with software enhancements for natural colour tuning, the three-year agreement will improve the colour calibration solution and set a new standard for smartphone camera colour performance.

This is to ensure that OPPO mobile phones produce consistent natural colour performance in all conditions and across the whole camera system.

“OPPO | Hasselblad Camera for Mobile,” the product of this collaboration, will debut in the first quarter of 2022 in the next iteration of OPPO’s flagship Find X series.
