Rashid Khan Aims to Provide Leadership Support to Shaheen Afridi

Rashid Khan, an Afghanistan leg-spinner, is looking forward to a successful season with Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League’s seventh edition (PSL). Rashid expressed his delight at the choice of Shaheen Afridi as Lahore’s new captain, as well as his own leadership role within the team.

Rashid stated that he will draw on his previous expertise as the head coach of the Afghanistan team to assist Shaheen at crucial stages of the game. The dynamic leg-spinner went on to say that he is looking forward to playing a key part in the forthcoming season under the captaincy of Shaheen Afridi.

The world-class all-rounder remarked that his goal will be to keep Shaheen cool throughout the game because he is prone to being very agitated. As a Pathan himself, Rashid joked that he would try to assist him keep his emotions in order.
Qalandars will be determined to turn their fortunes around and put in a much-improved performance in the upcoming season now that they have a new skipper in command. Lahore is the only team in the PSL that has never won the championship and has only qualified for the playoffs once.

The Qalandars will kick off their season on January 29 when they take on the Multan Sultans, the defending champions.
