The Redmi Note 11 series was introduced to the market earlier this year by Xiaomi. The Note 11 Pro 5G was the only 5G model in the Note 11 Pro 5G lineup, which also comprised the Note 11, Note 11S, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro 5G. The Redmi Note 11S 5G is featured in Xiaomi’s IMEI database, indicating that the company is adding another 5G handset to its lineup.
According to the article, Xiaomiui detected a ‘K16B model number with the codename ‘opal’ on the IMEI database. The model number is strikingly similar to the ‘K16A’ on the POCO M4 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 5G. (launched in China). The codename’s similarity to the specifications could also indicate a similarity in the specifications.
Xiaomi’s lone 5G cellphone in the Redmi Note 11 series is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC. In the future, the Dimensity 5G SoC is anticipated to be included in the company’s devices. The Dimensity 810 chip is already included in the POCO M4 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 5G (China), hinting that it will also be present in the Redmi Note 11S 5G.
