Only a few days ago, the Lenovo Legion Y90’s essential specifications were leaked online, and now the same tipster has provided the whole spec sheet of the impending gaming phone, and we’re blown away.
The gaming phone appears to be on its way to become the most powerful Android handset on the market.
The phone’s storage capacity is the most astounding aspect among the leaked stats, and it will also be a big selling factor for this phone. All of these qualities have been addressed in detail below.
Design & Display
The Lenovo Legion Y90 may have a striking design, with a protruding camera unit in the centre of the back panel.
The Legion Y90’s display will be a 6.92-inch E4 Samsung AMOLED panel with a high refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 720Hz, allowing for exceptionally fluid multitasking and gaming. The display will have symmetrical bezels, with a speaker module and a selfie camera in the top bezel.
The phone will be 176 x 78.8 x 10.5mm in size and weigh 268g, making it quite large.
Hardware & Storage
The Legion Y90 will be powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. According to recent rumours, the Legion Y90 will have 22GB of RAM, 18GB of which will be genuine physical RAM and 4GB virtual RAM.
This will make it the first smartphone with such a large amount of RAM. The storage, on the other hand, is as amazing, topping out at 640GB thanks to the combination of two different 512GB and 128GB modules.
Double X-axis motors for haptics, twin cooling fans, and six specialised gaming buttons are also included to improve the user’s overall gaming experience.
In terms of optics, the Lenovo Legion Y90 will use an OmniVision 64MP OV64A 1/1.32 sensor on the front and a 16MP sensor on the back. Samsung’s 44MP GH1 sensor is on the front for selfies and video calls.
Battery & Availability
The smartphone will be powered by a large 5600mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging.
We still don’t have a lot of information regarding this impending gaming phone. We’ll learn more about this smartphone in the coming weeks, given that speculations imply a February release date.
