We haven’t seen an Asus gaming phone in more than a year. We have no doubts that the Rog Phone 6 will top the charts this year, just like the Rog Phone 5 was one of the best gaming phones of 2021.
The gaming phone will officially launch on July 5 according to Asus, and some of its features have just been made public after the device passed through the Chinese certification agency TENAA. It’s not obvious if it’s the Rog Phone 6 or the Rog Phone 6 Pro, though.

The Rog Phone will be a bulky handset, weighing about 229 grammes, per the listing. It will have a large 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a constant refresh rate of 165Hz. Screen resolution is not mentioned in the listing, however it is most likely to remain at 1080p.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with up to 18GB RAM and 256GB storage will be its primary chipset. With capability for 65W rapid charging, it will have a sizable 6,000 mAh battery. This was previously made known via the phone’s 3C listing.
On the rear of the device, there will be a 64MP primary camera, and on the front, a 12MP selfie camera. Although there are no photographs of the phone yet, there will reportedly be a revamped look.
On July 5, the Asus Rog Phone 6 will become officially available in China; however, the global market will follow later.
