The ISOCELL HP1 sensor from Samsung is the world’s first 200MP smartphone camera sensor. It was supposed to be released alongside the Xiaomi 12 series, however subsequent sources indicate otherwise.
According to Ice Universe, Xiaomi will not be the first to release a phone with a 200MP camera, and it will not even be a Samsung phone. Motorola will instead release the first 200MP smartphone.
This is surprising considering Motorola is never the first to incorporate new camera technology into its handsets. Samsung and Xiaomi phones are frequently the first to get new camera sensors, chipsets, and screens. However, it appears that Motorola intends to boost its game in order to create headlines next year.
