Nokia Launches C2 2nd Edition With Multiple Downgrades

HMD Global has introduced the Nokia C2 2nd edition, the successor to the previously released Nokia C2. This smartphone, which was released alongside the Nokia C1 pair, is the company’s latest budget-friendly model.

Except for the metal frame, the C2 2nd Edition has a number of significant flaws when compared to the Nokia C2.

Design & Display

The Nokia C2 2nd edition, unlike the Nokia C2, has a metal chassis that makes it more robust to daily wear and tear. Things, on the other hand, are only going to get worse from here.

The handset sports a 5.7″ touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 960 pixels, which is significantly lower than the 720 x 1,440 pixels of the original Nokia C2.

Storage & Hardware

The Nokia C2 2nd edition is powered by a new chipset with a quad-core 1.5 GHz CPU, and that’s pretty much all we know so far.

The smartphone, on the other hand, comes with 1/2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and runs Android 11 Go Edition. On all single and dual-SIM models, the device offers a dedicated microSD card slot that can hold up to 256GB of additional storage.

Additional connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G. (with support for Band 40).

Cameras

This time around, the original C2’s 5MP selfie camera has been replaced by a 2MP one with a dedicated LED light.

The Nokia C2 2nd Edition includes a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera as a result.

Battery & Availability

The 2nd Edition is powered by a smaller 2,400 mAh battery and enables basic 5W charging through MicroUSB. One of the more intriguing features of this smartphone is that it’s still one of the few with a detachable battery.

The Nokia Go Earbuds 2+ were also unveiled during the launch event, in addition to the C2 2nd Edition and C1 duet. The Earbuds include a 300 mAh battery that can be fully charged in 2 hours through USB-C and can last up to 24 hours.

However, no official pricing information for the Nokia C2 2nd edition or the new headphones has been released yet, but the firm is anticipated to do so soon.
