We previously knew that Oppo’s next major flagship, the Find X5, would be released on February 1st, after the Chinese New Year. However, due to the dependable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, we now know a more precise launch date.
In the past, the tipster using Iron Man’s avatar has had a good track record for reliable disclosures. According to him, the Oppo Find X5 series would be released in the second half of February. He also adds a few specs to the leak, confirming that the Find X5 will be equipped with the flagship-grade Dimensity 9000.

We may confidently presume that the Find X5 Pro will instead be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, based on this information. It will be interesting to see how well Oppo manages to keep the chipset cool. Oppo will also show off the MariSilicon X, which is a self-developed NPU for AI tasks.
Oppo has been hard at work developing its own chipsets, which could be a backup plan if it suffers the same fate as Huawei.
There will also be a few more Oppo items on display at this event, most likely a wearable or two, but there isn’t much detail yet.
