Samsung Galaxy S22 is One of The Toughest Phones in The World [Video]

After the Galaxy S22’s huge unveiling, it’s time to check how strong it really is, as is customary. The flagship phone has debuted on the PBKreviews YouTube channel just two days after its introduction, where it is put through a durability test and disassembled.

The water submersion test is the first step in the durability test. The phone is submerged for 60 seconds and emerges in perfect condition. Despite being IP68 water-resistant, however, the screen begins to go all over the place with ghost touches when submerged. But this isn’t a big deal because it doesn’t affect the phone.

The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, a new version of Gorilla Glass that is more scratch resistant than prior generations. The screen is only scratched at levels 8 and 9 on the Moh’s hardness scale, which is an improvement over phones that are scratched at levels 6 and 7. The back panel is also scratch resistant and provides the same level of protection.

Samsung’s new “armour aluminium frame” has proven to be a good investment. During the bend test, the phone remained as solid as a brick, with no damage or even minimal flexing. For durability, the YouTuber gave the phone a well-deserved 10/10.

The Galaxy S22 has also been dismantled by the YouTuber. The flagship phone is not difficult to open, but replacing the screen or battery will require some skill and work. For repairability, the phone received a 7.5/10. The complete video may be found here.
